The Crimson Corsairs is a group of Independent Smugglers, Jedi Idealists and Republic Troopers who are dedicated to preserving freedom in the galaxy. They are authorized by the senate to work as Freelancers and Privateers often venturing far from the safe regions of the core worlds. Central to all Corsairs is a life spent on shipboard and the courage to face whatever lies over the horizon.
The Corsairs are led by a Commodore and two chief officers. These are the Master Mariner and the Marine Commander.
Under these officers are the Marines of 2068th Platoon and the Independents, volunteers who have signed the Articles and committed themselves to the cause. These members are known as Swashbucklers (lightsaber wielders) and Buccaneers.
Below them in rank are the common Deckhands who form the bulk of the ranks and the Bilge Rats who are the new recruits.
