It has begun and you can see from the title why I didn't want to post anything before the first part ran for fear of spoilers. This event will continue throughout the summer as players choose to investigate and travel to each destination. I will be leaving the timing open to encourage all those who are interested to participate.

Background and Synopsis
Events began when Inig Darkborne sent out a call for volunteers to undertake a mission to the tombs of Korriban. She had uncovered mention of a text which was supposed to contain and ancient Sith spell or ritual of protection called the Napasja Kutualas. This writing purportedly dated a time shortly after the reign of Marka Ragnos.
The searchers began by scouring the tombs seeking the location described in the verse:
Four strong slaves hold up the vault, Four sages watch do keep; In alcoves where ‘neath graven words The sacrifice shall sleep.
Their efforts were hindered by a hostile spirit which took on the form of Vice Commandant Kagrido Noven and attacked the others in an attempt to drive them off. The searchers persisted and at length found the chamber where they then faced the task of awakening and interpreting the Spirit who would serve as their guide.
Eventually, they succeeded and recovered the first part of the text. In the process they learned that the Rite had been divided into five parts. Each part was hidden on one of the worlds which had formed the heart of the Old Empire. These planets were: Ziost, Khar Delba, Rhelg, Krayiss Two, and Korriban.

The Worlds These five planets were once considered the heart of the Sith Empire. They were sacred sites and visited by pilgrims following the Hetmonasa Ipros.
Korriban
Korriban was the sole planet in the Horuset system, located across the galaxy from Koros Major. It was the original homeworld of the Sith species. The Rakata invaded Korriban in an attempt to integrate the world into the Infinite Empire around 27,700 BBY. They were eventually forced off the world after the Sith King Adas led his people against them. Adas died in the battle, and thus, despite this victory, the Sith society crumbled.
The Sith Empire was founded in approximately 6,800 BBY by exiled fallen Jedi fleeing the Battle of Corbos, which concluded the Hundred-Year Darkness. The fallen Jedi landed on Korriban and using their Force powers, elevated themselves to god-like status. As years passed, and interbreeding occurred between the Fallen Jedi and the native Sith the term came to apply to all the inhabitants. The Sith Lords erected huge palaces and burial complexes to honor their fallen Dark Lords.
Circa 5,000 BBY, the planet became an endpoint of the newly-formed Daragon Trail hyperspace lane, when it was discovered by Gav and Jori Daragon. This event triggered the Great Hyperspace War. After the fall of the Sith Empire, the planet lost much of its prominence in the galaxy.
Korriban was resettled prior to 3,993 BBY by Dark Jedi survivors of the Exar Kun War and was home to the new settlement of Dreshdae and a Sith training academy. In 3,993 BBY, as part of the Great Hunt, Duron Qel-Droma and Shaela Nuur died on the planet, failing to cleanse it of terentateks.
Darth Revan and Darth Malak visited the planet on their quest to discover the Star Forge. After losing his memory, Revan returned in 3,956 BBY. This marked the beginning of a four year civil war which decimated the Sith Order. The ancient tombs within the Valley of the Dark Lords were plundered by grave-robbers and broken, charred corpses littered the plains.
In the aftermath of the Great Galactic War, the reformed Sith Empire emerged and began conquering worlds in the Aparo sector. The Empire had lost the location of Korriban, but regained it when the Emperor dominated the minds of Revan and Malak. The Sith, reclaimed the planet and re-established the Sith Academy. In the years after the Treaty of Coruscant, Korriban had become a major center of learning for the Sith Empire where many Acolytes came for training.
Rhelg
Rhelg was the location of Ludo Kressh's private fortress during the Great Hyperspace War. It was close to Khar Delba. Ludo Kressh was descended from a mixed ancestry. In 5000 BBY, Dark Lord of the Sith Marka Ragnos died, and both Kressh and Sadow attempted to claim the title. However, their duel was stopped by Ragnos' ghost.
Kressh was trained and proficient in manipulating the dark side of the Force and possessed some knowledge of Sith alchemy and magic, the latter of which he used to construct a device that would protect his son from all harm. In battle, Kressh utilized a Sith war sword that he infused with the power of the Force before a duel. Ludo Kressh was buried in a tomb cut into a shyrack cave in the Valley of the Dark Lords.
Khar Delba
Khar Delba was an icy, snowy planet with one moon, Khar Shia. It was located on the outer edge of Sith Space. The planet was originally part of the pre-Republic Sith Empire ruled by King Adas. Eventually, in 6,900 BBY, the planet, along with the rest of Sith Space, fell under the sway of arriving Dark Jedi from the Galactic Republic after their defeat in the Hundred-Year Darkness. One of the native species of Khar Delba was the fearsome Sith war behemoth, which were originally peaceful herd creatures that were transformed into vicious war beasts through Sith alchemy.
Naga Sadow built a citadel on Khar Delba, but unbeknownst to the rest of the Sith, this citadel was a decoy; his real base was on Khar Shian. In 5,000 BBY, Khar Delba was attacked from orbit by forces loyal to his rival, Ludo Kressh. Although the citadel was damaged, Sadow emerged victorious. In the following months, Khar Delba was rebuilt and was established as the center of Naga Sadow's power as he gathered a force to invade the Galactic Republic, in a conflict that became known as the Great Hyperspace War. After the end of the war, Khar Delba was largely stripped of its Sith treasures by Republic scouts.
Krayiss Two
Krayiss Two was orbited by two moons, the lowest of which hung relatively close to the planet's surface. Even during the night cycle, these moons gave the world a source of illumination. In ancient times, a Sith library-temple was founded on Krayiss Two. The temple was an enormous structure of angled walls and pyramidal towers, with a tall obelisk serving as a spire on the top of the building. The temple's massive double-door was protected by a force field, which only allowed certain people to enter the premises. It was a place for magicians of pure Sith blood to gather to meditate and set down the knowledge they had gained from their experiments. However, after 14,000 BBY this edifice became abandoned, although the spirits of those Sith who inhabited the place still remained. Eventually, the entire temple complex was completely buried, save for the massive obelisk that extended from its top of the structure.
In 4,009 BBY, a dark side force gathered on Krayiss Two, attracting the attention of Jev Sunrider, Jedi Watchman of the Darada system. Along with three Jedi Masters, Sunrider journeyed to the world to combat the force, but he never returned. In 4,000 BBY, a Jedi Knight named Vara Nreem arrived on Krayiss Two, seeking the knowledge of the dark side. Nreem recited an incantation that awoke the Sith spirits from their slumber and raised the entire temple complex to the surface. The spirits were not fooled and set upon the Jedi.
Ziost
Ziost was once a world made up entirely of an ancient dark forest. At some point, Ziost suffered from an Ice Age that had changed the world's terrain and climate. The trees withered away and the planet became desolate.
Ziost became the capital of the ancient Sith Empire after the reign of Adas came to an end. Without his unifying force holding them together, the Sith degenerated into their previous feudal ways. After centuries of battle and strife, the remaining Sith utilized Rakatan vessels to relocate to other planets, leaving their desolated homeworld Korriban as a vast graveyard world populated by religious fanatics, who would thousands of years later, be subjugated by the Jedi Exiles, forming a new Sith Empire.

Part 2: Rhelg The second piece of the text was hidden in the fortress of Ludo Kressh on Rhelg. Rhelg is an arid, rocky planet and the fortress once sat atop a natural crag. Unfortunately, the structure was destroyed in an orbital bombardment conducted by Ludo's rival Naga Sadow. In its place, there is now a vast, gaping chasm.
Rhelg Landscape Where the fortress once stood
The searchers entered the chasm on Rhelg where they were attacked by the hostile spirits of those who had died there. Some assaults took the form of physical dangers such as falling rocks, sudden winds and treacherous footing. Others assailed their minds, whispering warnings and playing upon their fears, causing distrust to erupt into violence.
The mission nearly ended in disaster. Fortunately, there were those with the strength and will to resist. Several even intervened in the precarious cliff-side battle before things became worse. Finally, thanks to their dedication and insight, the book was recovered and all participants survived.

Part 3: Khar Delba Inig met with Kagrido and Tendalia and discussed the location of the third text. This piece was hidden on the ice-bound world of Khar Delba in the Valley of the Watchers. It was concealed under the floor of a reception hall near the center of what was once the stronghold of Naga Sadow. After Sadow's War with the Republic the fortress was reduced to ruins and the planet stripped of many treasures and artifacts. Preliminary scouting reports indicate that there are no Behemoths in the area, but that wild Warbirds still nest among the ruins.
Valley of the Watchers Sith Warbird
Tendalia led a small team consisting of Voltus, Morakar and Arcerus to explore the ruins. They had one encounter with a male warbird but fortunately no one was injured. Thereafter, they were able to learn where the creatures were nesting and avoided that section of the valley. The book was eventually recovered from the third site they searched. The spirit which was meant to be their guide was less help than anticipated. It appeared uncertain and alarmed, flickering into view at various points and lingering near the fallen watcher. O’lean arrived and helped Tendalia interpret what it was saying. From it, they learned of a further complication. The fourth volume of the text is no longer on Krayiss!

Part 4 Difficulty arose regarding the fourth part of the text when the spirit revealed that it had been removed from its original resting place in the Library on Krayiss Two. This could only have been done by "blood of his blood". After time, study and consultation, a research team concluded that this cryptic phrase refered to Vodal Kressh a direct linear descendant of Ludo and noted Sith alchemist.
Vodal is believed to have secreted the text in his stronghold on the planet Athiss in a room modeled after the one Ludo had built on Korriban -- the tomb chamber which led seekers to the first volume. Vodal reportedly duplicated both the alcove of the sacrifice with its two sage statues and the coffer flanked by four larger stone figures. Here the book has lain hidden through Vodal’s rebellion against the Emperor and the long intervening years.
Something in Vodal's recreation of his ancestor’s ritual prevents the Korriban spirit from entering the site. Nor is this the only difficulty. Reports on Athiss speak of a cult -- local inhabitants or survivors of past survey teams who worship Vodal Kressh and are infused with his spirit and malice.
