<Holorecordings of Darth Orias' jounral entries>
Entry 1:
It hasn't even been a full day since I finally returned from the rift. How did all this happen? Some mysterious empire from Wild Space comes along and takes control of just about everything in the galaxy. The Empire, Republic, everything. From what I heard they attacked about three years ago, around the time I left. I should have been here. I should have helped. I can't find any of the others, the headquarters on Dromund Kaas appears to have been abandoned. No sign of a location they might have escaped to. Smart of them, really. Keeps the enemy from finding them. I'll need to stay out of sight as I look for them.
Entry 2:
It's been nearly two weeks and I can't find any trace of them. I've asked around anywhere in Kaas City that might have the information I need without attracting the attention of the Eternal Empire. My best bet is to get off planet and find one of the Dark Watch's outposts, maybe something there can send me in the right direction. That blockade set up around the planet would be trouble though. Good thing I don't need a ship to get around.
Entry 3:
Nothing! I've tried three different outposts and nothing. Not a trace. The Eternal Empire found them before me, that was certain. Corpses, destroyed and stolen technology, the armories were cleaned out too. I'm angry at them, why shouldn't I be? I'm a Sith and they're the enemy. I want to see every last droid and knight burn until there's nothing left of them but ash. Rumor from the locals around here that the Eternal Empire has a base in the area. The plan is to storm the building and kill everything in sight. Let's hope these knights prove to be the challenge I heard of.
Entry 4:
The mission was a success. The instillation was a prison for anyone who interfered with the Eternal Empire's plans on Tatooine. I slaughtered everyone who thought it was a half decent idea to raise a weapon in my direction. Managed to free the prisoners as well. Most of them ran away after the end of it all, some of them however were grateful for saving them and wanted to follow me in my fight against the Eternal Empire. Under normal circumstances, I'd ignore them and move on with my next task. However, having allies in a time like this will prove useful. We'll need somewhere to use as a base. I know the perfect place, I just need to find it.
Entry 5:
Finally found the Novashiir temple after all this time. Took a couple days, but we found the temple and began setting up the basic equipment. Would have taken even longer had I not began looking for it prior to my trip to the Kathol Rift. It should serve as an excellent base provided we aren't found. Perhaps when we aren't planning any missions or finding new allies, I can explore the area. Maybe learn the history of my Sith ancestors. Until then, we need to focus on gaining allies and equipment, as well as finding the Dark Watch.
Entry 6:
The past seven months have been quite successful. More people joined our secretive group and we've obtained some Zakuul tech. Even managed to take a functional shuttle from one of their bigger outposts. But not all of our equipment didn't come from the enemy. On one of our scavenger raids, we found an old outpost for the Dark Legion, the order my master belonged to years ago. What was found might be the best thing we've acquired yet; a Gree data core housing an artificial intelligence, code named LEGION. It was a data core Kiien found shortly before he left the Dark Legion. LEGION was capable of expanding his programming to other forms of technology, computers and droids mostly. Kiien had planned on unveiling the AI to his leaders, but he noticed the changes the order was going through and decided against it. We managed to move LEGION's core to one of our safe houses off of Yavin. We're trying to figure out how to utilize him in the temple while being off planet.
Entry 7:
It's been a full year since I came back from the rift. Still no sign of where the Dark Watch has disappeared to. Managed to find my older brother on Nar Shaddaa. He had been throwing parties at his sky palace for the locals and tourists, but it was a cover for his syndicate's smuggling operations. With the Eternal Empire making starship travel nearly impossible, smugglers have been needed more than ever, and Avolis and his people were daring enough to take the challenge. He's agreed to help our group and gave me a list of his old contacts that might be helpful. One of his top enforcers, a Cathar named Kreksoma, has proven to be quite useful in covert missions. Avolis also agreed to keep an ear out for any word about the Dark Watch on Nar Shaddaa. Hopefully he'll find something soon.
Entry 8:
The paladins of the Eternal Empire are much more skillful then I anticipated. During our most recent attack on one of their bases, one of them was in the enemy ranks. When the two of us fought, he managed to break through my defenses and now I have a scar on my face. I kindly returned the favor and cut him in half in front of his friends. Can't remember the last time I felt bloodlust like that. Think it was when we took the Dark Legion's flagship after we lost The Blade, killing the crewmen at the bridge of the ship. Maybe fighting these knights will be fun after all.
Entry 9:
Of all the familiar faces to run into, why an assassin? I decided to meditate at an altar site on the outskirts of the temple grounds when someone approached the area. He wore a mask but I remembered the presence; Hinttur, Tendalia's brother. He claimed to be looking for me in the name of the Dark Watch. I would have believed him if he hadn't tried to kill his sister before all this. We fought and I ended up incapacitating him and brought him back to the temple. If what he said was true, they'll come looking for him. If he lied and they don't show up, I'll have to deal with him somehow.
Entry 10:
After two years, I've found them. Well, they found me. Tendalia sensed Hinttur ran into trouble and tracked him to my temple on Yavin. She also brought Kelshan and a mercenary I didn't recognize, must mean they've been recruiting others as well. After a short conversation, Tendalia took me to their new base, a small colony hidden from the Eternal Empire. Inig was glad to see I had returned after all these years. The feeling's mutual, glad to see they survived all that's happened.
Entry 11:
I've acquainted myself with the colony as well as planned for some of my people to bring some equipment here. I've also sent a couple of Avolis' smugglers to bring some Zakuul tech to Dromund Kaas. From what I hear, my old place in Kaas City was still intact thanks to K1. I'll repurpose it into a command center, using some Zakuul tech we stole from our raids over the years. We're also moving LEGION there to better serve the order. Once I get everything set up and meet with my old contacts, I'll get back to fighting.
Entry 12:
Interesting trip to the Nexus today. Went to get a couple drinks, met with twins with white eyes. Grew up on Zakuul, but not born natives. Doubt they're related to me, though. Only known blood born Novan relatives near my generation are myself, Avolis, our father Kessik, uncle Ivernik, our grandmother, and our father's cousin, Indra I think was her name. I don't believe Indra had any children but she may have hidden them if she did. I won't be surprised nor disappointed if they aren't related to me. There are other white eyed beings in the galaxy not related to the Novan bloodline.
Entry 13:
I found my former associates from before I left. Guess the Dark Watch had sent people to track them down and bring them back to the order. Zarron and his son Sai were mercenaries on Hutta, Xindreles had been on Voss, and K1 had still been guarding the Xen'shal tower since I left. Unfortunately Darth Tradere had met his end on Korriban during the Eternal Empire's attack. I managed to recover his veil as a keepsake, had to kill a couple of scavengers to get it but that wasn't an issue.
Entry 14:
Just returned from a trip to Oricon. Went to look for any relics that could be useful to us. A dagger, lightsaber, amulets, and holocrons were what I expected, but an intact helmet similar to the Dread Masters and one of the appendages Brontes controlled? These should be useful indeed. If not, then they'll just be additions to my collection. However, something odd occurred on my return trip to the Novashiir temple. When I used Fold Space to come back, I felt a tremor in my energy. It was similar to what I felt before I trained in the rift but on a much smaller, more different scale. Almost hollow. I'll have Xindreles look into it should it happen again.
Entry 15:
Captain Dennenia has been found. Well, she found us. She found the Vindication and sent a message out to the order's members on Shiyasa. I warped straight to the ship to see for myself. It was her, though she was exhausted. Apparently she had discovered an odd signal from Wild Space some time after she created Xuna's cloned body and went to investigate alone. She eventually found Zakuul and was marooned there ever since. Glad she's back though, especially since she was one of the founding leaders of the order since the previous schism. I think the pieces are set back in place for the Dark Watch, let's hope it stays that way.
Entry 16:
It happened again. The affect in my energy after I use Fold Space. I didn't notice it when I used it to get to the ship when the captain returned, maybe because the ship was in a close proximity to where I warped from. Perhaps I just didn't notice it at the time. I contacted Xindreles to see if he could identify what was wrong...I wish he isn't right about what he thinks of it. It seems that using Fold Space is draining my energy rather than just using it and regaining it as time went. He thinks it's due to not having him use his threads to heal me the past few years I've been using it for my personal missions before I found the Dark Watch again. I was a fool for believing I didn't need to be healed after each warp since I trained with the Aing-Tii. There isn't anything Xindreles can do about it, it seems. The damage has already been done, only way to stop it is to limit my use of Fold Space, if not stop using it altogether.
Entry 17:
Why? WHY?! Of all the people to have in the order, a Solorium? The daughter of Rikor, the man who caused the schism of the Lords of Shadow, who went insane and crashed a flagship into a desert, one of us? I don't like it. However, it seems Inig is the one who invited her in, so I can't do anything about it unless she herself brings harm to us. The child says she isn't on good terms with either of her parents, her mother especially since she tried to kill her as an infant. Doesn't mean I'll accept her as an ally, just means her parents are the type of Sith that stick to the old ways. My hatred of the child for her origins may be an example of what I hate about the Sith, but I can't just forgive what happened in the past. For now, I'm keeping an eye on her. If she tries anything against us...I will do what I have to.
Entry 18:
I've been studying the holocrons I managed to collect over the past two years, new ones I've found, old ones I recovered, and some that were here in the temple. But nothing about reversing the degradation of my energy. I suppose Xindreles was correct in his assumption. I did however find more rituals that could be useful in the future. I just need to find the items necessary. I guess it'll give me an excuse to leave Yavin IV for a while.
Entry 19:
I turn my attention away from the order for two weeks and everything goes to hell. It seems Captain Dennenia has gone rogue. Something about one of her keeping Jenneca alive and hostage and another one of her cyborg creations showing up. These Nightkin seem more trouble than they're worth at this point, but that's a matter to think on another time. For now, I need to track down the Captain. If she has gone rogue, I'll do what I must.
